Born in Louisburg, NC on September 12, 1954, Prentice Stone is a living epistle of one of his favorite scriptures, Luke 1:18-19:

18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

He is the husband of Reverend Cassandra B. Stone. His parents are Nelson and Eunice Stone (both deceased). He has 4 siblings: 3 sisters (1 deceased) and 1 brother. He is the father of two sons and one stepdaughter. He is the proud papa of four granddaughters and one grandson.

He attended Jones Hill Baptist Church in his young age. God working in him, he joined Eastern Star Holiness Church where he was called into the ministry at the age of 24. He was ordained at the age of 26 with the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ by Apostle William L. Bonner, Baltimore, MD. Reverend Stone served as Pastor of The Vision Temple Church, Wilmington, NC.

He became affiliated with the ministry of North East Baptist Church, Durham, NC, in September of 2001. He formally joined North East Baptist Church as a member in September of 2002. He volunteered his services as a Vocational Bible School teacher for the youth (teenagers). He was not ashamed to cry loud and spare not as he took the Gospel to the streets for the New Hope Association Street Evangelism 2008. He offers his services wherever needed. Reverend Stone has served at Wilson Temple UMC, Raleigh NC, New Covenant Christian Ministries of the Triangle, Durham, NC, Northside Baptist Church, Durham, NC, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Durham, NC, and Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church, Durham, NC. Reverend Stone currently serves as an Associate Minister at Oak City Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC.

His formal education was of humble beginnings. His undergraduate studies were attained at Bunn High School, Bunn, NC. He studied Law at San Antonio College, San Antonio, TX. He received an Associate Degree in Auto Mechanics and an Associate Degree in Business Management at Rutledge College, Raleigh, NC.

Reverend Stone managed the Wake County Parking Deck for McLaurin Parking, downtown Raleigh, NC. for 14 years.  He is affectionately known as “Stone”. This was a high stress environment and proved to be a mission field. Reverend Stone offered much needed parking, resources, advice, prayer, hope and a smile for those visiting Wake County Court House and Raleigh Police Department.  He is currently a technician at Wake Medical, Raleigh, NC. He is the proud owner of Mobile Brakes.

Reverend Stone continues to study God’s Word and learn how to work effectively in His vineyard. He has a passion for Christ and being an example of true servant hood.  He offers his assistance wherever needed.

Reverend Prentice Stone, Sr., stands as a servant of the Most High God. He cries loud and spares not. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY
