Cassandra Bryant Stone, Associate Minister

- Her soul makes her boast in the Lord… as she triumphantly shouts with Holy Ghost power of the victories she has won in His name…
- And the humble hears thereof and are glad.
She is the wife of Reverend Prentice F. Stone, Sr. Her parents are Rev. Arthur (deceased October 31, 2015) and Pastor Ethel J. Bryant. She has 4 siblings; 2 sisters (1 deceased February 14, 2006) and 2 brothers. She is the mother of one daughter, two steps sons, two goddaughters, three granddaughters and two grandsons.
Her parents introduced Cassandra to Jesus Christ at the age of seven. She repented and was filled with the Holy Ghost. She continued to study God’s Word and learn how to effectively work in His vineyard. She has a passion for Christ and being an example of true servant hood. She has been blessed with many talents.
Cassandra received her call into the ministry June 3, 2003. Her initial sermon was brought forth on October 17, 2004. The topic was “You Don’t Have to be Bound; You Can Be Set Free”.
Cassandra presently serves as Associate Minister and Musician at Oak City Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC. She is grateful and honored to serve under the tutelage of her Pastor, Rev. Dr. William T. Newkirk, Sr. Cassandra was ordained by the Wake Missionary Baptist Association on January 21, 2018.
She has been blessed to serve as the Minister of Music at Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church, Mt. Olive MBC, and Northside Baptist Church, all of Durham, NC. She has affiliations with the ministries of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church (Durham, NC), New Covenant Christian Ministries of the Triangle, (Durham, NC), Wilson Temple UMC, (Raleigh, NC), Poplar Spring United Christian Church (Raleigh, NC); The House of the Lord Apostolic Faith, (Silver Springs, MD); Mt. Calvary United Holy Church of America, (Washington, NC), and a host of other ministries.
Her formal education was received at various institutions of learning including; Mother of Mercy Catholic School, Washington, NC; Chocowinity Elementary and High Schools, Chocowinity, NC; Hampton University, Hampton, VA; Saint Augustine’s College, where with honors, she earned a BS Degree in Organizational Management. Cassandra desired to deepen her studies of Christianity and Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC. She attained a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling, December 15, 2011.
Cassandra is employed at Saint Augustine’s University, Raleigh, NC. She has served as an Administrative Assistant, 12 years as Program Coordinator for TRiO Programs, and is currently the Executive Assistant to the Director of Admissions. She is known as the “Voice of Admissions”.
But when she stands at the sacred desk, Cassandra lifts her voice as she tells of her lasting honeymoon with Jesus Christ … having attained perfect peace, harmony and liberty through her covenant relationship with her Lord and Savior. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!
